The makouda (spiced potato patties) were very flavorful & unique. The stuffed batbot sandwich was very filling. But my favorite was the yellow split pea soup! It was so rich & creamy, rare to find a truly delicious soup. Good portion sizes & reasonable prices. Has a nice neighborhood feel. Will definitely come back!

Beautiful place with incredible food!! The atmosphere inside is so lovely, and the food is AMAZING! The tea was so delicious, some of the best i’ve had. The owner is also very kind and friendly. Definitely a spot worth going out of your way for! I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu

First time trying Moroccan cuisine while traveling to Portland. Was recommended to this place by a friend and left well beyond pleased! We ordered the chicken tanjine, dip duo, split pea soup and iced mint tea. All were very tasty and owner was also very hospitable. I’ll be visiting on my next trip!

I came to Portland on a business trip and thought I'd give Moroccan food a try. I got the seafood and lamb tagines, and the chicken bastilla. The food was high quality with generous portions and good seasoning. The chicken bastilla is a very interesting dish I would definitely recommend. It's a sort of chicken covered in filo dough with powdered sugar and spices on it. It's delicious, with a unique taste and great texture. The owner is friendly too, and this is a pretty good restaurant, being open for almost 10 years. If you wanna try Moroccan food, you should definitely go here!

Truly a hidden gem in Portland! The portion sizes are absolutely huge, making it a fantastic value for the quality and quantity of food you get. Every bite was delicious, showcasing the rich flavors and spices that Moroccan cuisine is known for. The environment was equally impressive—cozy, welcoming, and filled with authentic touches that really enhance the dining experience. The person running the restaurant was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. It’s clear that they have a passion for both the food and their guests, which really adds to the overall experience. When we visited at 7pm on a Tuesday, there was plenty of street parking available in the area, which made getting there a breeze. One thing to keep in mind is that some dishes might be unavailable towards the end of the day, but with so many options on the menu, you’ll still have plenty to choose from. Overall, a must-visit for anyone in Portland looking to enjoy a hearty, delicious meal in a warm and friendly setting. I can’t recommend it enough!

Each serving is quite large—whether it’s the salad, the chicken with rice plate, or the sandwich. We were almost full just from sharing one salad before our main dishes even arrived. Found this whole exploring the Old Town area. This was a new experience for me as I never had food with this flavor profile. It was simply amazing in every way. Tried both the chicken and beef and could not decide which I liked more. The portions were plentiful and the service was very friendly. I look forward to going back and trying something new.
